Welcome Message from the Founder....
Hi Friends!
I'm glad you've found VIP FRIENDS ONLINE! I began this website as a
volunteer effort following my journey through prostate cancer diagnosis
and recovery. There were so many questions I had about treatment.
There was a great deal of clinical information to research to find my way
through the maze of options. I was led to Dr. Vipul Patel of the Global
Robotics Institute and so pleased with the outcome of his robotic surgical
care, I decided to share my story and those of others like me, in an
exchange of information to help others.
The mission of VIP Friends Online is to extend the community of
friendships that form so quickly among those having a shared health
concern. There is no cost for membership to enjoy the benefits of this
website; we are a volunteer organization.
This Website is for all patients and prospective patients of The Global
Robotics Institute and Dr. Vipul (VIP) Patel. This website is not endorsed
or funded by the Institute, but serves as a reference source for individuals
considering Robotic Prostate Surgery. Here is a place to freely
communicate and share stories.

Your interest in prostate cancer awareness is greatly appreciated. I’m very pleased to tell you that
our website, VIPFriendsOnline.com , is growing.
Many of the folks who find us online come to the website for answers to questions that they have
regarding robotic prostatectomy. Most of these questions relate to pre and post-operative
conditions (what to expect), determining if robotic surgery is the right treatment, or to allay fears
about diagnosis, surgery, and recovery. I have welcomed the opportunity to speak to many people
about my experiences, but because of the increasing volume of inquiries, I need to find volunteers
to help field questions and provide peer telephone support.
If you have been through surgery and would be available to volunteer by sharing your story with
